P.V. Narasimha Rao's name is Pamulapati Venkata Narasimha Rao. He was born on June 28, 1921, in Karimnagar, Andhra Pradesh. His father's name was P. Ranga.
P.V. Narsingh Rao received graduate and postgraduate degrees in law faculty from Osmania University and University of Nagpur and Mumbai. Apart from politics, he was also interested in various subjects like Arts, Literature, Music etc. He also had good gains on various Indian languages. P.V. Narasimha Rao was rich in various talents. With the knowledge of politics, he had a similar interest in cinema and theater. He also had a special interest in Indian philosophy and culture.
P.V. Narasimha Rao played an active role in the independence movement. He was a fully dedicated leader of the Congress. He was the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh from 1971 to 1973. He also supported Indira Gandhi during the Emergency. P.V. in the year 1991. Narasimha Rao became the ninth Prime Minister of independent India. He also has the distinction of becoming India's first South Indian Prime Minister. While holding the post of Prime Minister, he initiated a new economic policy, in which efforts were made to link the economy of the country with the global economy.
On December 23, 2004, P.V. Narasimha Rao died His political life was quite controversial, but he would always be remembered as his economic reforms and the knower of different languages.
